We must be the change we want to see!
Ms. Payne has worked in corporate settings, as well as in business for herself. Now, she hopes to bring her wealth of experiences into the classroom in order to help youth in urban environments see their potential, realize academic success, and make positive choices concerning their futures!
Over the past 4 years, Ms. Payne has fostered significant growth in her students in the areas of mathematical procedures, writing, and reading fluency. She not only uses data to drive instruction, but she also implements strategies to challenge advanced students.
Most recently, Ms. Payne had the opportunity to focus on math instruction for the majority of the 4th graders, and as a result averages from all fourth grade classes improved in math.
